Day 01: ARRIVE DELHI
Arrive Delhi by International flight. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day free.
Day 02: IN DELHI
This morning, you will be given the city tour of Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi offers ancient monuments, narrow streets and bustling bazaars. Drive past the vast Red Fort, built in 1648, Visit the Jama Masjid, the greatest mosque in India and completed in 1658 by Shah Jahan, who also built the Taj Mahal, and the Raj Ghat. Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January 1948. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at one end. It is located on the banks of the river Yamuna in Delhi New Delhi – drive past the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential Palace. Continue onto the beautiful Humayuns tomb of the Mughal era & predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal. End the tour at the towering minaret of Qutab Minar
Day 03: DELHI- BHUBANESHWAR BY AIR
Transfer to the airport in time to connect flight for Bhubaneshwar. Arrival at Bhubaneshwar. Transfer to hotel. Later visit of Temples, Caves and Tribal Museum (Closed on Mondays) & State Museum (Closed on Mondays) at Bhubaneshwar. Bhubaneswar, the capital of Orissa, is also popularly known as the “Temple City of India”. Being the seat of Tribhubaneswar or ‘Lord Lingaraj’, Bhubaneswar is an important Hindu pilgrimage centre. Hundreds of temples dot the landscape of the Old Town, which once boasted of more than 2000 temples. Bhubaneswar is the place where temple building activities of Orissan style flowered from its very inception to its fullest culmination extending over a period of over one thousand years.
Day 04: BHUBANESHWAR-PURI (60 Km /38 Miles)
Morning leave Bhubaneshwar for Puri. Arrival at Puri. Jagannath Darshan & city tour of Puri including Potters village of Jagannath Temple, Grand Road/ Market area. Excursion to Satpada on Chilika Lake. Jagannath Temple at Puri is One of the Pilgrimage Centre of India with the largest kitchen in the world, attracts around One Lac devotees everyday in this temple from all around the world. Puri is One of the Four Dhams of Hindu people, which is believed to be like Mecca for Muslims. As this Place known as Sankha Khetra & the Temple Idols represent all the Three Concepts of Hinduism, Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva, One Hindu can come to this Place to complete the Pilgrimage in case not able to visit the All Four Dhams in Four Corners of India. Entry into the Jagannath Temple is allowed for Hindus only. We will use the Platform (Closed on Sunday & Local Holidays) in front of the Temple to watch the activities partially inside the temple. Every Year, during June/July the Grand Chariot Festival of the Temple Attracts around One Million People around the World to this place.
Day 05: PURI-RAGHURAJPUR-KONARK (35 Km / 22 Miles)
Morning Drive to Konark on the way visiting Raghurajpur Artisans’ village, Ramchandi Temple, Chandrabhaga Beach & Fishermen’s village area. Visit of Konark Sun Temple. Declared as the Heritage Village of Odisha, Raghurajpur is the only place where you can experience the Artisans working on the Silk, Paper, Beatle Nuts, Coconuts, Cow Dung, Coir & many more. The Traditional Patta Painters of Odisha live in this village in the different parts like Dandasahi, Nayakpatna & Raghurajpur are now experts making different kinds of Artistic useful house hold materials for the market which are worth buying from them. Your visit will introduce to the Age Old Patta Painting workers in the village & their working style. Sun Temple at Konark, one of the sites of World Heritage, built in a form of Chariot is the Culmination point of Orissan Temple Architecture in 13th Century AD. The life size figure depicting the story of the Social, Royal, Cultural life on the Temple wall has made the Great Guru Rabindranath Tagore to express his feelings as ‘Language of Man is defeated by Language of Stone at Konark’.
Day 06: KONARAK-BHUBANESHWAR (70 km /44 Miles)
Morning Drive to Bhubaneshwar on the way visiting Pipli & Dhauli. Written in Pali Language, Dhauli Rock Edicts is the collection of the Special Rock Edicts of King Ashoka Describing the Change of the Life of King Ashok after the Terrible Kalinga war on the River Bank of Daya in 03rd Century B.C. Pipli is a Small Village of Workers working on the Patch Work Style selling different House Hold articles. Though all the Villagers involved are Muslims, the Appliqué Umbrellas & Canopies are used in Hindu Temples & in the past these were used in the Royal Court & Chariots during the Great Chariot Festival, Called Ratha Yatra. Day 07: BHUBANESHWAR – BHITARKANIKA (230 km /144 Miles)
Morning Drive to Bhitarkanika World Heritage Biosphere Reserve Forest on the way visiting Chhatia Jagannath Temple & Barua Village of the Golden Grass Craft workers & Buddhist Excavated sites of Ratnagiri, Lalitgiri & Udaigiri. Check in to the Bhitarkanika Village Retreat. Move around this Beautiful Village of Bhitarkanika to enjoy the charm of the Odisha Rural Life style.
Day 08: IN BHITARKANIKA
Explore the Sanctuary by Boat & spot the Giant Salt Water Crocodiles basking on the Bank. Enjoy the Whole Sanctuary by Walk & spot the Deer, Wild Boar, Monitor Lizards, Migratory Birds & Many more Rare Species at Bhitarkanika. Explore Farmers village where you can watch men working in the field & Women in the morning leave for the Creeks to Catch the Fish & Crabs for the day.
Day 09: BHITARKANIKA – BHUBANESHWAR (200 km /125 Miles)
Drive to Bhubaneshwar. Check in to Hotel. Visit of Khandagiri & Udaigiri Caves. Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain Caves, dating back from 03rd to 01st century BC are telling the royal, social & cultural life of the King & the People of Kalinga. Out of 92 Caves, there are caves dedicated to the Jain Monks, Hindu Deities & the Queens Cave depicting the story of Royal Celebration at the Caves are worth visit.
Day 10: BHUBANESHWAR-DELHI BY AIR
Transfer to Bhubaneshwar airport in time to connect your flight for Delhi. In Delhi, you will be met on arrival and transferred to the hotel.
Day 11: DEPART DELHI
Transfer to airport to connect Flight for onward destination
