Tour Itinerary
Today you will be received by our representative from your point of pickup after which we will proceed to Agra, a historical and romantic city of medieval India.
Poet Rabindranath Tagore described it as 'a teardrop on the cheek of eternity', Rudyard Kipling as 'the embodiment of all things pure', while its creator, Emperor Shah Jahan, said it made 'the sun and the moon shed tears from their eyes'. Every year, tourists numbering more than twice the population of Agra pass through its gates to catch a once-in-a-lifetime glimpse of what is widely considered the most beautiful building in the world.
Agra Fort
An era marked by invasions and fortifications, where power was symbolized by grand palaces and grander forts………during such time was built THE AGRA FORT.Fortification has always been and still is the prerogative of the mighty; the dividing line between the ruler and the ruled. The mighty towers and overwhelming facades instilling fear and awe in the bravest of the brave…….yet there were the few who overcame the daunting adversities and made their mark in history, a signature ……. that still exists.
Jaipur also known as the Pink City is Resplendent in the hues of its noble and magnificent past. The historic city of Jaipur stands out as one of the most spectacular and culturally vibrant destinations in the world. After checking into the hotel and freshening up you will start your journey to the Gems of Jaipur, first stop will be at the
Amber Fort
After inhaling the beauty of this humongous fort and enjoying your delicious lunch you will now be taken to visit the most priced possession of Maharaja Jai Singh -The City Palace…..
City Palace
A complex of courtyards, gardens and buildings, the impressive City Palace is right in the centre of the Old City. The outer wall was built by Jai Singh, but within it the palace has been enlarged and adapted over the centuries. There are palace buildings from different eras, some dating from the early 20th century. Despite the gradual development, the whole is a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.
Jaigarh Fort
The Jaigarh Fort is a majestic stronghold built by Sawan Jai Singh II. This almost-intact fort is surrounded by huge battlementsand offers a panoramic view of the city of Jaipur. The fort houses the world's largest cannon on wheels, a majestic palace complex and the assembly hall of the warriors known as 'Shubhat Niwas' along with a museum and an armory.
Hawa Mahal
Jaipur’s most distinctive landmark, the Hawa Mahal is an extraordinary, fairy-tale, pink sandstone, delicately honeycombed hive that rises a dizzying five storeys. It was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the life and processions of the city.
Jal Mahal
Possibly the most serene sight amidst the chaos of Jaipur is the beautiful Jal Mahal Jaipur, the Water Palace. This low-rise symmetrical palace, that once was a shooting lodge for the Maharajah, appears to float in the centre of Sagar Lake. The light sand coloured stone walls of the Jal Mahal Jaipur are at a stark contrast to the deep blue of the waters of the lake, while from the innards of the palace lush foliage sprouts.
Some of Jaipur's best shopping experiences are to be found in city's old bazaars. These are located in the walled city, around the two main blocks called the Badi and Chhoti Chaupar. Visit them for a first-hand experience of the city's long-standing tradition of craftsmanship, and to get schooled in the art of bargaining while you're at it.
Today we will sign of our tour and return base to Delhi on the way enjoy the wonderful view
